The Keiko Garden Egg Chair now costs just £132, having been reduced from £330.

That’s a saving of £198, or 60 per cent off.

The chair is made from a natural woven rattan frame and features thick, soft cushions which provide a comfortable and relaxing seat but are also removable.

It’s also easy to assemble and is a great addition to any garden, patio or deck.

On the Homebase website’s chair listing, one person commented: “The chair looks so lovely on my patio it is really made well.”

Another added: “So far so good, nice thick cushions. Just need the weather to sit out on it.”

Homebase has recently impressed shoppers with wide-ranging items to help customers stay cool in the heat.

One item has even been marked down from £24 to £40.

The 32-inch Tower Fan, which has three-speed settings is easily portable around the house, and is on sale at a £16 discount.

Shoppers can use a two-hour timer for the nifty device as well, to make sure they don’t forget to turn it off or can use it whilst they go to sleep.

Homebase is also offering a further 20 per cent off existing fans and air con units already in the sale.

Their three-in-one Air Cooler, which has several speed settings and cooling modes, has been knocked down from £80 to £48.

For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, an eight-inch floor fan is going for just £12.

And the store is even selling a mini four-inch USB fan for only £6.

B&Q is another popular homeware store, where a similar equivalent costs £249.99.

It’s important to compare prices so you know that you’re getting the best deal possible.

You can find out more on how to do that below.

But remember, it’s not a bargain if you didn’t intend to purchase it in the first place.

Shoppers were thrilled to find a “gorgeous” item being sold for almost £100 less than its typical retail price at Homebase as well.

One canny customer saw the  trendy “Sophia scallop accent chair” going for £39 instead of a whopping the original price of £140.

It came as the chain launched a huge furniture sale.

To find your nearest store and its opening hours, the best bet is to use Homebase’s store locator.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
