Brian Daboll explains why he used a plastic clipboard tent to protect his play sheet in the rain
We saw something we might not have seen before in NFL history during the New York Giants’ first preseason game: a plastic tent for a … play-calling sheet.
It belonged to head coach Brian Daboll, who was making headlines all over social media for the innovation in a very rainy game that didn’t count against the Detroit Lions. And after the game, he was asked about the tent.
He said he doesn’t like laminated play sheets, so it was paper, and with the rain, he had to keep it dry.
