Amazon shoppers racing to buy ‘stunning’ 55-inch TV scanning at £298 instead of £369

AMAZON shoppers are currently racing to pick a discounted TV that’s become a best-seller.

The 55-inch TCL V6BK TV has been reduced from £369 to £298 – that’s a great price on a TV on this size.

This 55-inch set from TCL is undeniable a budget-end option – you can easily spend more, indeed, a lot more on 4K televisions of this size.

But this has clearly gone down a treat with Amazon shoppers, I’m guessing, who are looking to scale up from their current television and aren’t fussed about having those top-end features.

As with pretty much every television sized 43-inch and upward on the market today, the V6BK is an Ultra High Definition television.

It doesn’t come with the QLED or OLED tech that you’ll find in higher-end sets, but it’s got HDR (High Dynamic Range) functionality built into it.

That’s basically just tech-speak for an extra level of HD playback: you can expect brighter colours, darker darks, and just a little bit of extra sparkle over bog-standard 4K.

Obviously, it being a smart TV, it’s got a built-in streaming platform courtesy of Android TV. That’s your central headquarters for Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and the rest.

Shoppers on the Amazon website have, by and large, left a wave of positive reviews for this 55-inch set.

‘Far exceeded my expectations,’ writes one customer. ‘A great set of features for the price…

‘The picture and sound quality are also great for the price point. 4K and HDR10 make for a great viewing experience.

‘Usually it’s the sound department where these cheaper sets usually fall down… but I’m more than happy with the quality and output levels.’

Another buyer writes: ‘Stunning! [I] was looking for a bigger TV than my 48-inch [set as I love movies and gaming…

‘After a few days of testing with various media inputs etc, I must say, blew me away! Amazing picture and features.’

Factor in that 19% price drop, and small wonder it’s one of the best-selling TVs on Amazon right now.

One final note: before you take the plunge and buy this TV, it’s worth being sure you’ve got enough viewing space to fully appreciate a screen of this size. Big isn’t always necessarily better.
