Yung Miami Discusses Her Relationship With Diddy, Abuse Allegations & Why They Split

Yung Miami opened up about her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

If you were unaware, the 30-year-old City Girls rapper split up with the 54-year-old rapper after he was accused of sexual assault and more in a flurry of lawsuits filed by his famous ex Cassie and other women starting late last year.

In a new interview, she reflected on her experience with Diddy, why they split and the allegations.

Speaking to People, she described the experience of opening up as “a rollercoaster of emotions.”

She told the outlet that at the time she met Diddy “he was focused on building love, and really locked in on his music and business. I was with him when the world was celebrating him.”

“I just think that when I met Diddy he was just a man first. He was more into what I wanted to do, and he approached me with a lot of business [ideas]. ‘You should do this. I see this in you.’ So it was more of that for me. He saw more in me than music,” she recalled.

While Yung Miami was “deeply hurt and shocked” after seeing a video of Diddy assaulting Cassie.

“I’ve been in a toxic relationship before when I was younger,” she said. “In high school, my early 20s, and they’re not healthy. They’re not fun. It’s just I’ve been there, done that, and that’s somewhere I would never want to put myself.”

“Now, being 30 with two kids, that’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from,” she added. “That’s why I say that wasn’t my experience with him, because I wouldn’t even put up with that [again].”

On the topic of their breakup, she explained “sometimes a relationship runs its course. People breakup every day, and with everything that happened, I just needed time alone.”
