Report: Spurs have added lucrative clauses into Mikey Moore’s new contract

According to HITC, Tottenham Hotspur have added clauses to Mikey Moore’s impending new contract, which will see the winger’s salary go up substantially as he meets certain metrics.

Tottenham appear to have successfully fought off interest from around Europe to tie Moore down to a new contract.

The Athletic revealed earlier this week that the 16-year-old had verbally agreed to his first professional contract, with the three-year deal set to be announced when the player turns 17 on Sunday.

The report revealed that the Lilywhites had offered the youngster more wages than they ever have for a player before his 18th birthday.

Clauses in Mikey Moore’s Spurs contract

Jon Wenham subsequently revealed on Lilywhite Rose that Moore’s three-year professional deal will become a five-year one when the Tottenham academy graduate turns 18.

HITC have now said that Spurs have also added other lucrative clauses in the deal to convince Moore to sign.

According to the report, the teenager’s salary will continue rising over the next few years if he can meet certain measures in terms of first-team appearances and goals.

It sounds like Tottenham have thrown the kitchen sink at Moore in an effort to convince him to sign a new deal and one can understand why, given how highly the 16-year-old is thought of around the game.
