Part of Western Ave closed for NW OKC road repairs

The City of OKC says that all lanes of traffic along Western Avenue between NW 30th and NW 31st Streets have been closed on Friday afternoon for storm drain repairs.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The City of OKC says that all lanes of traffic along Western Avenue between NW 30th and NW 31st Streets have been closed on Friday afternoon for storm drain repairs.

The repairs to the street, which are expected to take over a week, were needed after crews cut into a storm drain to reach a water main.

The city says Western will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic in the area during the ongoing repairs. NW 31st will also be closed to eastbound traffic at the intersection, but will remain open to westbound traffic.

Detours in the area will go westbound to Military or Classen and then run north or south.
