Five ways to squeeze more value from your Nectar account
THE link between eBay and Nectar will soon change.
From September 1, you’ll still be able to collect Nectar points on eBay buys, but you will have to do it via the Nectar app or website.
Five ways to squeeze more value from your Nectar account[/caption]You’ll have to click through Nectar.com to eBay to buy something.

While it’s a blow for customers, it’s not all bad news.
There are other ways to squeeze more value from your Nectar account . . .
EBAY OF PLENTY: You’ll now collect two points for every £1 spent at eBay, although you’ll no longer be able to convert your points into a voucher to spend on the site.
BACK TO SCHOOL BOOST: One way to get more from your card is to check the Nectar app regularly to find out about bonus point events taking place.
For example, today is the last chance to get five Nectar points for every £1 you spend on school uniform online at tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk — that’s five times the usual reward.
GIVE YOUR OPINION: You can earn extra points for completing surveys via Nectar Canvass.
Register with the site and, every time you do a survey, you’ll be entered into a prize draw, as well as earning points.
SWEET REWARDS: There are hundreds of places to gather Nectar points.
As well as at Sainsbury’s, you can also swipe your card or app at Argos, and at Esso service stations.
And you can collect points at around 500 retail partners.
Visit Nectar.com/eshops and select a store.
You’ll be taken to the retailer’s own site to buy in the usual way.
SAVE ON SPENDING: Many of us use Nectar points to get money off our grocery shopping.
But you can also spend them with other retailers.
At Caffé Nero, you can swap 400 points for any barista-prepared hot or cold drink, after getting a QR code via the Nectar app.
Or you can spend the points at Dulux Decorator Centre, Eurostar and on a break away with Nectar Hotels.
