Gina Gershon Recalls Shooting First Love Scene With Tom Cruise & One Way It Went Wrong

Gina Gershon opened up about filming her very first intimate scene with Tom Cruise in Cocktails.

The 62-year-old Borderlands actress shared the screen with the movie star in the 1988 movie, which featured some steamy moments.

In a new interview, she was asked if they ever hooked up while filming. While Gina denied there being any romance behind the scenes (Tom had recently married his ex-wife, Mimi Rogers), she did reflect on their sex scene. She even revealed one silly way that it went wrong!

While on Watch What Happens Live, Gina said that she and Tom “did kiss as much as we could,” joking that they were always willing to add a kiss to a scene.

“He was even a gentleman,” she added about when they filmed a sex scene.

She continued, explaining, “It starts off under the covers and I told him I was very ticklish. I was like, ‘No, no, don’t ever do that.’ In one take, I have to say I think he wanted a reaction, and he grabbed my stomach and I kneed him right in the nose. I was like, ‘Oh my god! I just broke Tom Cruise’s nose.’ He was like, ‘No, no you told me to. It’s my fault.’ He was so protective over me.”
