Seasonal infections take a toll on health insurance claims

According to a study by Policybazaar, nearly one-third of health insurance claims were due to seasonal diseases such as dengue, malaria, and gastroenteritis. These diseases led to high treatment costs during monsoon and peak winters. Despite being avoidable through improved hygiene, these illnesses significantly affected healthcare expenses across all social segments.
