Jake Quickenden’s wife moans ‘I knew it’ as she reveals unborn baby’s gender
JAKE Quickenden has revealed the gender of his unborn child with wife Sophie.
The I’m A Celebrity alumni, 35, posted an adorable Instagram video showing the little family finding out if they were set to welcome another boy or girl to the fold.
Jake could be seen perched on the floor with their son Leo, aged three, and Freddie, 10 – Sophie’s son from another relationship – while mum-to-be Sophie sat on the other side.
A huge cream-iced cake took pride of place in the middle of the table, alongside two champagne glasses.
Talking of the gender of their baby Sophie – who married Jake in 2022 and is expecting their second baby – confessed: “My gut is saying boy what are you saying?”
Jake, cuddling their tot Leo, replied: “My gut is saying boy as well, I think we are going to be a family of boys.”
The pair then looked at the wall as they slid the glasses into the huge bake, to pull out a blue-coloured sponge filling.
Jake could be heard squealing: “It’s a brother it’s a brother.”
Meanwhile Sophie, slightly less animated, chirped: “For God’s sake.
“I knew it. Ah man, where are all the girls at?”
Jake continued to ramp up the excitement with his lads as he again told Leo: “It’s a boy – you’re going to be a big brother.”
Sophie then said: “Another boy,” while looking at the blue cake mix before scoffing a piece.
In his caption on Instagram Jake wrote: “WE ARE HAVING A….
“Absolutely buzzing and excited to add another little human to our family. You will be eternally loved.”
One fan was quick to note Sophie’s response and put: “Your reaction Soph born to be a boy mam, they’ll always look after you.”
A second put: “Sophie’s honest reaction is everything on this video.”
A third then gushed: “Knew it congratulations,” as another fizzed: “A trio to treasure congratulations xx”
Jake and Sophie started dating back in 2018.
He revealed the pair were expecting their second baby in July.
In another cute social media post, reality TV stalwart Jake wrote: “WE HAVE NEWS…. soon to be five. We can finally let you know after a long time trying we are gonna bring another bundle of joy into the world.
“We are super excited. Can’t wait to live off two hours sleep again. Have a lovely Sunday.”
Last year he told Mother & Baby of the difficulties in being a first-time dad.
He said: “I did struggle, I had burnout and I did find myself sitting on the bed and letting a few tears out every now and again with Sophie, and admitting like ‘this is just this is so hard, I’m so tired’.
“I think it is a sleep deprivation thing and once that goes and you all start sleeping more, it just becomes so much more enjoyable.”
