Price was at his very best and he incredibly raced into a 5-0 lead.

But Littler was finally able to prevent a whitewash by winning the sixth leg and he then celebrated “sarcastically” in brilliant fashion.

With a beaming smile, the 17-year-old pumped his fists to huge cheers from the crowd.

Price also saw the funny side as the duo acknowledged each other.

But the Iceman did not let up and it was the only leg Littler got.

Price’s win saw him pick up the trophy and a cheque for £20,000.

And PDC commentator Dan Dawson described the win as a “lesson Down Under for Littler.”

But Price was magnanimous , saying: “I think Luke missed a couple of doubles, probably could have won another two or three legs and then it’s a different story.

Littler got to the final by beating Dimitri Van den Bergh 7-6 in a thrilling semi-final and Michael Smith 6-4 in the previous round.

Price beat Peter Wright 7-6 in the last four after coming through as clash against home favourite Damon Heta 6-4 on his road to victory.
