This Beloved Singer Revealed Her Pals Tried to Set Her Up with Prince Harry

Did you know a member of the beloved British girl band Little Mix was almost Prince Harry’s girlfriend? For those who don’t know, the band was made up of four members (and then later three): Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Guess which one was almost set up with Harry.

In a recent chat on Nick Grimshaw’s Sidetracked podcast, Thirlwall claimed that Nelson, Pinnock, and Edwards tried to make sparks happen between her and Harry back in 2015.

At the Royal Variety Performance in 2015, Harry and Thirlwall met. “I was single at the time, and all the girls were like, Oh, Harry. You could be in with a chance! I was thinking, Oh God, here we go,” she recalled, revealing how she got to shake his hand alongside her bandmates. “When it came to shaking his hand, the girls started getting excited and said ‘ohhhhhhh’ as he reached out.”

She added, recalling: “I was like, ‘Not in front of the Prince of England!’ I thought he must have thought, What a weirdo!”

So, did sparks fly? Nope. “Maybe I did linger a bit on the handshake to catch a vibe, but there wasn’t one. I wish him well,” she said in the podcast.

Now, as we all know, Harry got his happily ever after with Meghan Markle. And as for Thirlwall, she has been dating Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens since 2020.
