1,200 rescuers, doctors, 100 ambulances were rushed to Kerala: Centre

Following the devastating landslides in Wayanad on July 30, the Indian government has mobilized extensive rescue and relief operations. Over 1,200 personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), army, air force, navy, and other services have been deployed, alongside more than 100 ambulances with medical teams. Key efforts include the construction of a crucial Bailey bridge by the Indian Army and extensive evacuation and recovery operations. The Centre released ₹145.60 crore in advance from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to support Kerala.
