The winner of the contest – which supports charity Balls to Cancer – will be crowned on August 20 in Leicester and will represent England at the Mr World contest in Vietnam next month.

1. Roman Quane
SPORTS coaching student Roman Quane, 19, of Thurrock, Essex, is also a cage fighter and speaks Italian, Spanish and French.
He says: “My motto is: Confront the unknown and embrace it.”
2. Dil Malik
WEBSITE designer Dil Malik, 26, of Ealing, West London, is a fitness coach and also helps underprivileged youngsters.
He says: “I’d be honoured to represent our country with a purpose.”
3. Bal Tattla
BAL TATTLA, 26, of Greenford, West London, is an assistant manager at financial services company Deloitte and also works with underprivileged kids.
He says: “I am determined to help others who have not been so fortunate.”
4. Tommy Dodd
CIVIL engineer Tommy Dodd, 32, of Tenterden, Kent, supports the British Heart Foundation after losing his dad Adrian in 2022 to a heart condition.
He says: “Life is too short – you have to make the most of it and push your boundaries.”
5. Christian Hawkins
SECURITY specialist Christian Hawkins, 25, of Reigate, Surrey, is also a competitive natural bodybuilder, restores classic cars and does clay pigeon shooting.
Christian says: “Now I’m hoping to hit the target as Mr England.”
6. Joe Hardcastle
PERSONAL trainer Joe Hardcastle, 21, of Leicester, turned to fitness as an outlet during a tough childhood, founding the charity Active Lives Community.
He says: “Now I teach others with similar struggles that there are simple ways out, you just need to be led down the right path.”
7. Ash Bailey
CELEBRITY personal trainer Ash Bailey, 27, of Beaconsfield, Bucks, has worked with the cast of Jurassic World Dominion and Ted Lasso.
He says: “Stars or not, they have to work at it just like everyone else.”
8. Nathan Angel
NATHAN ANGEL, 21, of Purbeck, Dorset, is a sheep farmer by day and wrestler by night.
He says: “There isn’t much difference between wrestling a sheep and a human, really.”
9. Daniel Rodzoch
MODEL Daniel Rodzoch, 23, from Manchester, supports Widnes-based cancer charity Sam’s Diamonds, as his mum had the disease.
He says of survivors: “They showed me that when life is darkest we find something inside to help us to reach heights beyond our expectations.”
10. Sean McKitterick
FOR physiotherapist Sean McKitterick, 25, of Newcastle on Tyne, his proudest achievement is giving a woman struggling to walk a new lease of life.
He says: “Working on cases like that is incredibly rewarding.”
11. Manuel Alcantara-Turner
KINGS Guard Manuel Alcantara-Turner, 22, who is based at Windsor, Berks, says he joined the Army aged 16 knowing it would make or break him.
He adds: “It turned me from a boy to a man.”
12. Usman Janjua
PROPERTY company CEO Usman Janjua, 24, from Birmingham, models, boxes and loves travel.
He says: “It’s wonderful to take in other cultures, you learn so much and it is money well spent.”
Usman also volunteers with a children’s charity in Pakistan.
