Auli'i Cravalho Hints at Future Plans for 'Moana' Ahead of Sequel & Live-Action Adaptation
Disney already has a lot in the pipeline for Moana, but its star Auli’I Cravalho is hinting at plans for even more!
On Friday night (August 9), the 23-year-old actress, who voices the titular character in the movies, took the stage at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to perform a new song from the forthcoming sequel. We also got a new trailer!
During a panel on Saturday, she reflected on the movie’s premiere and got fans thinking about future stories with a cryptic comment.

“This is the dream,” she said during a panel dedicated to the franchise at the Disney event, via Deadline. She continued, telling fans how excited she was for them to watch Moana 2 in November 2024.
Auli’i teased, “And stay tuned. We’re only getting started.”
At the moment, there are not plans for a third animated movie just yet. However, a live-action rendition of the first movie is also in the works.
