UP to open two universities, to affiliate madrassas to them: Minority minister Rajbhar

Uttar Pradesh plans to establish two universities to affiliate madrassas for standardized recognition. This would impact approximately 25,000 madrassas, including many unrecognized ones. The proposal raised concerns from Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind regarding minority rights and involvement of stakeholders.
