Harry is loathed for very same reason he used to be popular – someone needs to tell him ‘that’s enough’, expert says

PRINCE Harry is shamed for the very same reason people used to love him – someone needs to tell him ‘that’s enough’, claimed a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, was hailed for decades by royal fans for his authenticity and willingness to say exactly what he was thinking.

Royal expert Victoria Murphy also spoke about Harry and Meghan’s Colombia tour

His loveable-rogue charm saw him grow into one of the most popular royals, and welcomed by many communities across the world.

However, since marrying Meghan Markle, 43, stepping down as working senior royals, moving to California and launching vile attacks on his family, admiration for Harry has been on swift decline.

Royal expert Victoria Murphy spoke to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson on the Royal Exclusive show about the duke’s downfall.

She told The Sun: “I have observed Harry for a long time and I always think Harry was so popular as a working royal for almost the same reason as he’s unpopular now.

“He doesn’t hold back, he was always, in every situation, you felt he was being very authentic, very honest.

“I think sometimes his PR people were saying ‘that’s enough’ because if you were talking to him, he would just talk and tell you what he thought.

“I think that’s what people liked about him, but obviously since he left the Royal Family that has turned some of people off.”

Harry came under fire when he and Meghan accused the Firm of serious allegations in their sit down interview with Oprah a year after moving to Montecito.

The pair claimed Meghan’s mental health had significantly suffered amid large-scale bullying and the Royal Family had not offered satisfactory support.

In more shocking claims, the couple then alleged certain royals had discussed the skin colour of their baby Prince Archie.

Harry sparked fierce backlash again when opened up in their tell-all Netflix documentary in 2022.

This was followed by yet more attacks in his sensational memoir Spare the following year.

The duke ripped into his brother, Prince William, claiming the dad-of-three physically attacked him and made insulting comments about Meghan.

But, when shocking news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis rocked the world, Harry immediately made a 24-hour transatlantic dash to visit.

The father and son had a brief 30 minute meeting, before the duke returned to the US.

Royal fans and experts alike speculated the royal health battles, including Princess Kate’s cancer treatment, could finally see their bitter rift mended.

But, shortly after the fleeting reunion, Harry raised eyebrows when he spoke on a Good Morning America interview.

“I spoke to him. I jumped on a plane and went to go and see him as soon as I could. I love my family. The fact I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend anytime with him? I’m grateful to that,” he said.

When asked if illness within a family can have a galvanising effect, Harry added: ” I’m sure. Throughout all these families, I see it all on a day to day basis. The strength of the family unit coming together.”

The conversation only piled onto existing fears the Sussexes can’t be trusted to keep private meetings and conversations away from the press.

Hopes of familial reconciliation were once again squashed when Harry came to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games.

Despite being just a few miles away from King Charles, who was hosting a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, the pair failed to meet.

Controversy shrouded the trip after the duke’s spokesperson said His Majesty’s schedule was “too busy” to meet his son.

But, palace insiders claimed Charles had offered Harry the opportunity to stay at a royal residence – which was snubbed.

Meanwhile, just last week a royal expert claimed it appeared the Sussexes have no plan to end the feud.

The couple were announcing their new project The Parents Network, which helps support families who have lost children to online harm.

During their sit down CBS chat, Meghan discussed her own mental health and a clip from the Oprah interview was played.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: “The way they are using a clip from an interview which did so much harm to the royal family.

“I don’t believe that at a time like this, with King Charles and the Princess of Wales seriously ill, the Sussexes should bring in matters which deal with or are linked to their rift with the royal family.

“If you want a relationship of any sort and you give interviews of this sort that bring up memories that will undoubtedly damage the institution, clearly you won’t get it.

“It doesn’t look like either of them want to bridge that gap or mend that rift.”

It comes as Harry and Meghan put on a loved-up display on the first day of their tour as they were welcomed in the capital Bogota by Colombia‘s Vice President Francia Márquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo.

The couple are now currently on their final day of a ‘faux-royal’ tour in Colombia.

They raised eyebrows when they announced the trip, following the success of their Nigeria engagements, after the duke’s UK security fears.

Meghan will today give a speech about “Afro women and power” on the last day.

Yesterday afternoon the couple visited San Basilio de Palenque, the first free town for Africans in America.

They spent the second day of their Colombia tour in the capital Bogota visiting a school in the town of Santa Fe.

Harry & Meghan will 'drop another bomb' on the Royal Family, an expert claimed

By Summer Raemason

MEGHAN Markle is scheming the launch of her ultimate “weapon” to hurt Princess Kate and King Charles, claimed royal expert Tom Bower.

The royal biographer, who is known for making particularly stinging comments about the Sussexes, claimed the duchess, 42, is waiting to “drop another bomb” on the Royal Family.

Mr Bower, famous for his harsh opinions of the couple, sat down with Sun Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson on the Royal Exclusive Show.

In particularly stinging comments, even for a long-standing critic of the couple, he said: “The future for the Sussexes is pretty grim, I think they’re on a permanent decline.

“But whenever they need money, whenever they need publicity to stoke their reputation, they will drop another bomb.

“We’re still waiting for Meghan’s own autobiography, which I’m sure she’s penning, she’s a good writer, and it will be filled with vitriol and filled with lies.

“She will not tell the truth because she wants a sensational headline.

“That is the ultimate weapon she can deploy.”

A spokesman for the couple denied the claims.

It comes as Mr Bower made more shocking claims that Meghan is an “agent of poison” and “doesn’t seem to care” about her father Thomas Markle.

Despite drama propelled by Harry and Meghan’s vile attacks in Spare, their Netflix documentary, and various bombshell interviews, the couple have stayed quiet for some time.

But when asked if the Sussexes have deliberately “reigned in” their attacks, Mr Bower claimed Meghan seems to be plotting for something bigger.

“I think she’s allowed Harry to make the running, she’s reserving herself for her autobiography, that’s much better for her to be seen as the silent duchess, the silent weapon in reserve,” he alleged.

“Harry has said some rather unfortunate stuff.”

Meghan and Harry were all smiles as they met schoolkids and played volleyball with Invictus Games athletes.

On their final engagement of the day, the Sussexes toured the Centro de Rehabilitación Inclusiva for a training session with the Invictus Games’ Team Colombia.

Harry and Meghan were given a tour of the space’s swimming pool, rock climbing wall gym, and rehabilitation facilities.

The Sussexes along with Vice President Márquez and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillo also sat in on a volleyball match.

Pinillo and Harry were called in and took part while the Vice President and Meghan cheered from the sidelines.
