Rajnath Singh inaugurates new Coast Guard facilities in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated new facilities for the Indian Coast Guard, including a Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) and a Regional Marine Pollution Response Centre (RMPRC) in Chennai, as well as a Coast Guard Air Enclave in Puducherry. The MRCC will enhance rescue operations with advanced monitoring and communication systems. The RMPRC focuses on marine pollution response and training and the Puducherry Air Enclave will bolster maritime security with patrol and rescue missions using indigenously built helicopters.
