West Congress and Lafayette Street to be closed Monday
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- The intersection of West Congress Street and Lafayette Street will be closed Monday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Lafayette Utilities System is going to start repairs to the sewer mainline at the intersection of West Congress Street and Lafayette Street. The project will start on Monday and will take 10 days to complete.
Westbound traffic will be rerouted to the turning lane as a single lane. Lafayette Street and Madison Street will be closed from Oliver Street to West Congress Street. The eastbound lane will remain a single lane.
Motorists may want to find an alternative route or be prepared for traffic in the area.
