Tyreek Hill Causes Uproar With Caleb Williams Comment

Caleb Williams didn’t have the consistent outing he would’ve wanted against the Cincinnati Bengals, but that didn’t stop the #1 pick from working some ridiculous magic. On his last drive of the afternoon, he put together a 90-yard touchdown drive that featured two of the most insane throws a quarterback can make. It started with a 45-yard bomb to Rome Odunze while running to his left. Then he fired a rocket to Odunze in the back of the end zone while drifting out of bounds for what should’ve been a touchdown. Unfortunately, Odunze was standing outside the back of the end zone. Lots of people across the NFL were watching. Among them was wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The Miami Dolphins All-Pro liked what he saw, posting about it on Twitter (X). His comment was short, but boy, did it have some explosive meaning behind it.

Tyreek Hill knew exactly what he was saying.

Anybody with knowledge of his career will remember he played with Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City, the same player Williams was often compared to coming out of USC. For Tyreek Hill to acknowledge the similarities is not a joke. Mahomes is famous for his brilliant passing outside the pocket. His improvisational skills have made him a nightmare to defend. Hill should know. The two won a Super Bowl together. If Williams approaches 70-80% of what Mahomes has become, the Bears are going to be winning a lot of football games in the coming years. It is one thing to hear the comparisons from scouts and draft experts. Hearing it from somebody who actually played with Mahomes is entirely different. If Chicago wasn’t excited before, they sure are now.
