‘That’s so smart!’ Swifties say as fan reveals genius way to avoid the crowds AND get a seat on the tube leaving Wembley
IF you’re a ‘Lucky One’ who managed to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s second round of Wembley shows, this hack may help you avoid the crowds on the way home.
A die-hard Swiftie shared her transport tip that guarantees you a seat on the tube home.
A TikTok user revealed her trick for getting a seat on the tube and skipping the crowds after the show[/caption]In her viral video, TikTok user EJ Roodt (@ejroodt) revealed the trick she used on the way home from Wembley.
The concert goer explained that she wanted to avoid the long wait for a train at the end of the night.
Since most people leaving Wembley were lining up for the same tube, EJ had a bright idea.
“Pro tip for getting home from the Taylor Swift concert in London: Everyone goes southbound afterwards,” she told her followers.
“So if [you] take the northbound tube for one stop and then switch to the southbound tube, you’ll avoid the massive queues and get a seat.”
To back up her thesis, the Taylor Swift fan filmed the train when she first entered versus a stop later when it arrived at the stadium.
Dozens of Swifties piled onto the carriage while EJ had already easily secured a seat.
“Look how much it filled up when we stopped at Wembley,” she wrote in the caption of the clip.
Taylor Swift is due to perform two more shows at Wembley from sold out her Eras Tour.
The singer will take to the stage again on Monday August 19 and Tuesday August 20.
EJ’s followers shared their thoughts on the simple trick in the comments section.
“This is actually so smart. Am I going to the London Eras Tour? No, but I am taking notes,” wrote one impressed viewer.
“We did this, we were the only ones back in June to do this,” said another Swiftie.
“Thank you, queen,” commented a third person.
“Wow, that’s genius,” wrote one commenter.
Why Taylor Swift tickets are WORTH forking out for
Fabulous Digital Writer Leanne Hall doesn't regret shelling out for Taylor tickets. She explains why:
Surviving The Great War for Taylor Swift tickets was no easy task.
When I first got a code, me and my friends were sure we’d be able to get good tickets at a reasonable price.
But after waiting in a queue of more than 30,000 people, and getting to the finish line we were shocked by just how expensive they were.
Most people who wanted tickets The Eras Tour were willing to spend hundreds, as were we.
But we soon thought twice when the only tickets coming up were almost £700 a pop and not even close to the stage.
Accepting defeat for now, we decided to wait it out and check the site constantly for two weeks before her ‘VIP packages’ dropped in price (A good call considering all you got was a tote bag, some postcards and a seat in the nosebleeds).
Finally prices went down to a more reasonable but still pricey £200, and we leapt at the chance to grab them.
Would I have spent this much on any other concert? Probably not, but as a die-hard Swiftie I was willing to do anything to see her in the flesh.
Personally, I love Taylor, and the fact she is performing for over three hours when most artists perform for an hour or so, makes it worth spending the extra money on.
However, £700 for a ticket is outrageous and it’s even more devastating forking out nearly £500 in the hopes of seeing her only to be conned.
“I did this, can confirm it was a smart move,” shared another TikTok user.
However, not all viewers were happy with EJ for sharing the helpful hack.
“No, don’t. Please, I want to go to Queensbury in peace,” wrote one fan.
“Noo, because I actually have to go north, I love not having a packed train,” said another person.
“DON’T TELL THEM,” begged one follower.
