Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, insecurity in the country has increased, particularly due to the activities of ISIS, which poses a significant challenge to the current regime.
ISIS, considering itself an adversary of the Taliban, has carried out numerous attacks targeting both civilians and Taliban forces.
The escalation of violence by ISIS has further destabilized the already fragile security situation in Afghanistan, leading to increased fear and uncertainty among the population.
The ongoing conflict between ISIS and the Taliban is complicating the Taliban’s efforts to establish control and maintain order across the country.
The increased activities of ISIS in Afghanistan have not only heightened insecurity within the country but have also raised alarm among regional and global players. These actors have expressed serious concerns about the escalating threat posed by ISIS, particularly as the group extends its operations into neighboring Pakistan.
