‘It was awful’ says Charlotte Dawson as she opens up on young son’s heartbreaking reaction to Matt Sarsfield moving out
CHARLOTTE Dawson has opened up on her young son’s reaction to Matt Sarsfield moving out for the very first time.
The reality TV star was left devastated when she discovered her fiance Matt Sarsfield had sent dirty texts to another woman behind her back.
Since the shock revelations were revealed, Charlotte, 31, has kept coy on her children, Jude and Noah’s, reactions to their father moving out in the wake of the scandal.
Now, the star has spoken out in a sit-down chat about the sexting scandal for her podcast Naughty Corner where she admitted: “It was awful.”
The news about Matt’s inappropriate messages broke just one day before a huge birthday party for their youngest son Jude, who turned one.
Matt failed to attend the celebrations with Charlotte breaking her silence on deciding to tell him not to attend during the podcast chat with her co-host Janine Marsh.
Janine asked Charlotte in the trailer for the episode, releasing on Tuesday: “What happens about the birthday party?”
Charlotte said: “I’m not cancelling his birthday party.
“I just said to him, ‘I don’t think you should come to his birthday party’.
“He obviously decided not to come as well.”
Charlotte then shared for the first time the heart-wrenching confirmation that the couple’s three-year-old son Noah was aware of their relationship troubles, as he questioned her on why his dad had moved out of the family home.
The Ex On The Beach star said: “It is so hard for Noah, as like I said, he is three, he knows what is going on.
“On our way home [from the party], he said, ‘Is Daddy come home with us tonight’.”
Charlotte, who was still wearing her engagement ring in the trailer, then appeared to break down into tears over the scandal as she held her head in her hands.
She then continued: “He [Noah] just said, ‘are you and daddy okay?'”
In a caption to accompany the podcast clip, the star admitted she felt forced to address her relationship breakdown publicly after being asked “so many questions”.
The star wrote: “I’ve tried to keep my calm & dignity about the situation that has unfortunately been very public….
“But as I feel like I haven’t really spoke about it on socials as I’ve not really had any words.

A source said: “Charlotte and Matt have spoken and he’s seen the kids but has agreed to give her space and move out.
“She’s still livid and has said she needs time to think as she’s just so embarrassed and upset and doesn’t trust him.”
