Midweek preview: Bassett hit the road as Development face home derby

Royal Wootton Bassett Town finally hit the road in the Hellenic League Premier Division as Sam Collier's side visit Thornbury Town on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick off). 18th last season, Thornbury may have struggled - but the Gloucestershire outfit proved a tricky nut for Bassett to crack in 2023-24 as they claimed a point in Wiltshire before Collier's team edged out a 2-1 victory in the return fixture. A difficult evening will again therefore be in store as Bassett aim to kick start their campaign. Meanwhile it's a third consecutive midweek derby for the Development as they welcome Wroughton - who have enjoyed a strong start to their Wiltshire League Premier Division campaign - to the Sustain Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick off). Mark Simpkins' team were narrow 1-0 winners when hosting Wroughton last season. Admission for the Development team fixture is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.
