'She's pretty': Ex-Trump official reveals off-the-record comments about Kamala Harris

A former Donald Trump White House administration aide revealed on Sunday that she had previously given off-the-record comments about Vice President Kamala Harris being "pretty."

Trump recently made waves when he escalated his personal attacks against his political opponent, going as far as to say that he is a "better looking person" than Harris. Those comments led some political onlookers to suggest Trump needs to "buy a mirror."

Former Trump administration communications official Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in over the weekend on X, giving her perspective on Trump's reaction to Harris' looks.

"A few weeks ago I said on background that Trump was triggered by Kamala in part because she’s pretty," the ex-aide wrote. "I didn’t want to say it on the record because it felt so cringe."

She continued:

"I preferred to pretend we live in a reality where a potential POTUS doesn’t spiral over his opponent being better looking than him. But here we are."

The comments were shared by anti-Trump conservative attorney George Conway, who later said, "I hate to stake out a controversial position, but I do think she’s better looking than Donald Trump."

"Don’t @ me," the lawyer then added.
