WATCH: Brian Hanni previews KU football season on K-Nation

LAWRENCE, KS. (KSNT) - Through the downs of the past decade to the excitement of the present, Voice of the Jayhawks Brian Hanni has had a front seat to Kansas football.

Hanni made a pit-stop in his hometown of Topeka and the K-Nation studio to preview the upcoming football season.

He spoke about quarterback Jalon Daniels' health.

"Physically healthy, mentally and emotionally sharp, he's so fired up to be back and to make the most of the season ahead," Hanni said. "I think there's an extra skip in his step and an extra zip on those passes."

A key departure from the Kansas football team is offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, who left for the same position at Penn State. Reinhardt asked Hanni what Jayhawk fans can expect out of new OC Jeff Grimes.

"I think Jeff is smart enough to know: if it ain't broke, don't fix it," Hanni said. "While he's clearly going to put his own wrinkle on it, he's not going to come in an reinvent the wheel...it will be similar, but I think a little creatively different."

The full interview with Hanni can be watched above.
