Schenectady Police investigating shots fired

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred just before 8 a.m. on Sunday. A man was shot at, but not struck, in the area of Albany Street and Kelton Avenue, according to police.

After being shot at, police say the victim was attacked by the suspect and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Ellis Hospital.

Police reported recovering a handgun at the scene, but no suspects are in custody. Schenectady Police are actively investigating the incident and anyone with information should contact the tips line at (518) 788-6566.
