Charli XCX channels ‘Brat Summer’ energy in daring Skims promo as star models underwear in rain-soaked photoshoot
CHARLI XCX took Brat Summer to a whole other level in a daring Skims promo.
The Apple singer modeled in underwear in a new rain-soaked photoshoot.
Kim Kardashian has done it again in recruiting one of the hottest celebrities of the summer: Charli XCX.
Charli was seen posing for the brand’s all-new cotton collection as rain drenched the singer on Skims’ Instagram Story.
In other clips, she is seen posing alongside puppies while the new collection hung to dry outside.
At the end of the promo video, Charli gazed at the camera before saying, “Everybody’s wearing skims.”
The campaign photos included a cotton bralette, boxers, a zip-up cropped hoodie, sweatpants, and a bikini.
“Skims empowers people to feel confident in their own skin, which is the essence of Brat,” Charli said in a statement as per Variety.
“I am excited to be working with a brand that understands that comfort and style don’t need to be compromised.
“Shooting with Petra [Collins] for this campaign was a dream and I was so excited to get on set and wear these timeless, sexy pieces. Also the puppies were beyond cute.”
Kim, who launched Skims in 2018, called Charli “one of a kind.”
“Having Charli XCX as the face of our new Skims campaign is so exciting,” Kim said.
“She is a one of a kind talent who has truly cemented herself as a megastar within music and beyond.”
The new collection will be available to the general public on August 21.
Charli is just one of many big-name stars who have been posing for Skims, including Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan and Sabrina Carpenter.
BRAT SUMMER
Charli XCX has taken the internet by storm with her Brat Summer trend which is inspired by her latest album, Brat.
Brat Summer was invented to encourage those to be unapologetically themselves and reposition the word “brat” as a positive outlook.
While the word is often associated with someone who behaves poorly, Charli encourages her fans to embrace the trait in a positive way.

Many have been doing so with their fashion by dressing in dark eyeliner, messy hair, short shorts, and mini skirts.
In a TikTok interview, Charli delved into the meaning of being a “Brat.”
“You’re that girl who is a bit messy and loves to party and maybe says dumb things sometimes,” she shared.
“She’s honest, blunt, and a little bit volatile. That’s Brat.”
Celebrities and public figures have been embracing their own Brat Summer.
Just last week, former President of the United States, Barack Obama, included one of Charli XCX’s songs from her Brat album in his Summer playlist.
Obama included her song 365, which is a song about doing drugs with the lyrics reading, “Shall we do a little key? Shall we have a little line?”
