YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police identified the person whose body parts were found in Yonkers and the Bronx earlier in August, according to the NYPD.

The head and torso of Lutalo Henderson, 46, of the Bronx, were found burned near the Oak Street Bridge around 2 a.m. on Aug. 5, according to the Yonkers Police Department and police sources.

Police sources told PIX11 News the body parts had been brought on the Metro-North in a shopping cart.

Later that same day, investigators found more body parts and drug paraphernalia inside an apartment on Rogers Place – the same address police say Henderson lived, according to the NYPD.

Both the body parts in the Bronx and Yonkers belong to Henderson, according to the NYPD.

The corpse had been frozen, and in the Bronx, investigators found legs in the freezer and other body parts in a slow cooker with bleach, according to sources.

Sources previously told PIX11 News a person of interest had been identified, but police had made no arrests Monday.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner has not yet determined a cause of death for Henderson, police said.
