AMEA signs 300 MW wind project PPA with Ethiopia

Renewable-energy company AMEA Power has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) and an implementation agreement with utility Ethiopian Electric Power for the development and operation of a 300 MW wind energy project in Ethiopia. The $620-million project is expected to generate 1 400 GWh/y of clean energy, power more than four-million households and reduce carbon emissions by more than 690 000 t/y.
