Love Island’s Georgia Steel reveals truth behind split with Toby after ‘shock’ split after All Stars

LOVE Island’s Georgia Steel has revealed the truth behind her ‘shock’ split from Toby Aromolaran after their All Stars romance.

Georgia, 26, took show fans by surprise when she split from footballer Toby, 25, just weeks after placing fourth on the spin-off series.

The couple, who dated briefly before the show started, made it to the final but were rocked by doubts from fans and even their fellow Islanders.

Speaking on the EF it with Elma and Fran podcast, she’s now lifted the lid on their separation, questioning if he used their previous connection to further his own interests on the show.

While she doesn’t want to believe it, she admitted that those close to her have suggested it could be the case.

Georgia confessed that her feelings towards Toby weren’t deep and the breakup, while sudden, wasn’t devastating for her.

When asked if he had taken advantage of their history, she replied: “I’d like to think not but the people around me see… you even came up with that, like, the people around me that I feel care about me and love me and know how I am maybe think that was maybe a motive.

“I don’t like to think that but people around me who love me have… you’re not the first to have that opinion, let’s say that.”

She added: “It didn’t ever get really deep with Toby like. There’s only a few boys that I’ve really ever been in love with and unfortunately I wasn’t in love with Toby.

“So, it wasn’t a horrendous breakup or anything like that. It was just, obviously, I was a bit shocked. It was so soon, like we never really had the opportunity to grow or anything.”

Georgia went on to call her former flame a “lovely guy” but ultimately feels they were incompatible for each other.

She said: “I don’t think he’s a bad guy or anything like that. I will never throw shade his way. I think he’s a lovely guy.

“Just, we were totally, totally incompatible and I do hate to think so. But did he know that? I don’t know.”

The former couple faced intense scrutiny from fans and the cast of All Stars when they entered the spin-off show.

Just five months prior, they had filmed another Love Island spin-off, The Games, in Fiji.

People questioned their romance in the All Stars villa and whether they were faking it to win.

They initially had a spark on Love Island Games, but it fizzled out.

Georgia and Toby then signed up to All Stars and their history rippled through the villa.

She kept her options open and even went to the Hideaway with Callum Jones.

But Toby told the villa during one recoupling that ‘fortune favours the brave’, and they ended up in a couple again.

The declaration of love convinced Georgia that Toby was ready to take their relationship seriously.

The pair left the villa exclusive but they both said they wanted to wait until they met each other’s families before becoming official.

After leaving the villa Georgia told us how she feared the intense backlash and trolling from fans who insisted they had faked their relationship would end their romance.

The star also made the decision to step away from her social media.

She told us:  “I was a bit worried that all the hate would affect our relationship. I thought, ‘I hope Toby is not reading that, I hope it won’t influence how he feels about me.’”

And discussing their relationship status last month, she revealed: “We aren’t official yet. We are ‘locked in’ still.

“I like it that way at the moment. I want to embrace our time on the outside together and have fun. I think it’s definitely going in that direction, I couldn’t imagine him not in my life, but I just want to not put pressure on it.”
