Apple TV+ bosses revealed that the second season of Bad Sisters will return on Wednesday, November 13.

The series centres around the lives of the Garvey sisters, played by a stellar cast including writer and director Sharon herself.

Its first season followed the Dublin locals  – Eva (Horgan), Bibi (Sarah Greene), Ursula (Eva Birthistle) and Becka (Eve Hewson) – as they secretly bumped off their unpleasant brother-in-law, John Paul.

He had been making their other sister Grace’s (Anne-Marie Duff) life a misery for years, and they decided enough was enough.

As season two kicks off, the Garvey sisters are still grappling with the aftermath of the “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband.

Despite their attempts to move on, the past refuses to stay buried.

With old secrets bubbling to the surface, trust becomes a fragile commodity among the sisters as new suspicions, lies, and revelations emerge.

The upcoming season will feature some new faces, including Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward and and Peter Claffey.

Season two will consist of eight episodes, with the first two available to stream on November 13.

One new episode will then air every Wednesday through to Christmas day, December 25.

Since its debut, Bad Sisters has earned widespread critical acclaim, even securing a BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series and a Best Supporting Actress win for Anne-Marie Duff.

The first series also holds a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Show creator Sharon previously hinted at the spooky storyline for season two.

Speaking to the Irish Sun, she said: “What’s going on next is in my laptop.

“I can’t really tell you what’s going on because it’ll give it away but we kind of delve into the aftermath of what happens when you kill a man.

“You don’t just go on with your life. It’s a little bit of that and a few things in season one come back and bite them in the bum.

“Kind of like JP from beyond the grave is f***ing with them.”
