India prepares for Mpox outbreak: Health Ministry issues guidelines for airports and hospitals

The Union Health Ministry has asked airports and land ports to be alert for Mpox symptoms in international travelers. Three hospitals in New Delhi are dedicated to Mpox treatment. No current cases are reported, but surveillance and testing preparedness are being enhanced across India. The WHO has declared Mpox a public health emergency, with over 99,000 cases recorded since 2022.
