Thunder fans amongst least likely to curse during games

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — This week the NBA released its schedule for the upcoming season and the Oklahoma City Thunder have some key matchups.

News 4 caught up with fans about the upcoming season and their thoughts on an interesting study.

We know Thunder fans show up to games loud and proud ready to scream, shout and cheer on their team, but how much of that is foul language?

A recent study shows that foul language isn't used much, as Thunder fans are amongst the least likely to curse during a game.

It is no surprise Thunder fans can get loud and rowdy when they need to, but just how much do Thunder fans curse in the midst of a great game?

"It is not even that bad," says Marcus Wren, Thunder fan. "People be telling me sometimes, you know, you might hear a little bit."

"It's hectic," said Richard Daniels, a Thunder fan. "They be loud. I don't be listening to what they be chanting, but they loud."

The atmosphere inside the Paycom Center definitely gets crazy.

"It's pretty loud, Thunder fans go crazy," Wren said.

The study shows Thunder fans are among the likes of the Trail Blazers and Cavaliers when it comes to how often fans curse at the game.

Wren says he is sure fans curse when they get upset in a big moment of the game, but that is part of the game and they are ready for the start of this season.

"It gets real cool whenever people are coming in around here," Wren said. "It gets lit."
