The Hall of Fame singer whisked events manager Anais, who he has been dating for the past four years, off to Norway where he popped the question earlier this month.

Danny told The Sun: “We hiked up to the top of a mountain to face the most beautiful waterfall in the world, The Seven Sisters. It’s our favourite place on earth.

“I nearly passed out from exhaustion carrying up all the champagne, glasses and food for if she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing.”

Thankfully she did say yes and the couple couldn’t be happier.

Speaking last week about Anais, Danny said: “When you know, you know… I knew when it wasn’t right, but now I know whatever that is, that it’s 100 per cent right.

“She’s great. I met her during Covid and if you’ve been with anybody through Covid it’s like you compress ten years into those years.”

It’s not the only bit of good news for Danny, as The Script are on track to score their seventh No1 album this Friday with Satellites.

Data from the Official Charts suggests it is way ahead of Post Malone’s new country album F-1 Trillion, which is set to debut at No2.

It is the first album The Script have released since the sudden death of their bandmate Mark Sheehan, who passed away in April 2023 following a short illness.

But Danny recently explained that he wants the band to continue to help his late friend’s wife and three kids.

He said: “I still feel if we stopped today, I’d be all right, personally. But I still feel like monetarily, Mark is always part of the band.

“His family benefits from everything we do moving forwards and I feel it’s the right thing to do.”
