Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner Are Co-Parenting Goals as They Celebrate Daughter Violet’s Major Milestone

No matter what’s going on in his personal life, Ben Affleck is clearly focused on being the best dad he can be. Amid months of rumors that the Argo star and wife Jennifer Lopez have split, Affleck was all smiles during a recent meet-up with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The two shared a beautiful co-parenting moment celebrating their 18-year-old daughter Violet’s major new milestone, and it’s so sweet to see.

In new photos obtained by Daily Mail, The Instigators star was spotted with Garner and their kids Violet and Seraphina, 15, in New Haven, Connecticut. Affleck was grinning ear-to-ear for the outing, dressed in a black button-down shirt and khaki pants. Garner was also happy, wearing a white cardigan over a blue-and-white striped shirt and jeans. Seraphina had on a light gray sweater, and Violet wore a floral dress. All four wore sneakers.

The get-together took place in the same town as Yale University, where Violet is rumored to be attending. They went to dinner at a restaurant called South Bay, where they ate outside on the patio, then went on a walk together, per Daily Mail. The exes were in good spirits celebrating their eldest daughter’s first semester at college! Missing from the dinner was Garner and Affleck’s 12-year-old son Samuel, Affleck’s wife J. Lo, and Lopez’s 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex Marc Anthony.

Garner recently went on a family trip to Japan, and sources say her and the kids were joined by Affleck. “They’re best friend exes and the epitome of good co-parenting,” a source told Fox News Digital earlier this month.

The Small Things Like These executive producer also spent his birthday surrounded by his three children. “He didn’t want to go out to celebrate,” a source told PEOPLE. “The kids had gifts for him, and it was cute. Jennifer [Lopez] stopped by to congratulate him.” They added, “The kids were with Ben for most of the day. He didn’t leave the house at all for his birthday.”

Affleck is clearly enjoying as much time with his kids as possible before they go back to school (and to college!), and it’s such a mood. It’s just another example of how him and Garner are excellent co-parents!
