Meghan Markle Says Her Daughter Lilibet Is Finding Her Voice at Age 3

Meghan Markle made some sweet comments about her daughter Lilibet during the final day of her tour of Colombia.

The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex opened up during the Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity panel on Sunday (August 18) in Cali, Colombia.

Prince Harry was in the audience to cheer on Meghan during the panel!

“I think part of the role modeling that I certainly try to do as a mother is to encourage our daughter,” Meghan said on the panel (via Us Weekly). “And at 3, she has found her voice.”

“That is how we create the conditions in which there is a ripple effect of young girls and young women knowing that if someone else is encouraging them to use their voice and be heard, that’s what they’re going to do,” she added. “They’re going to create a very different environment than so many of us grew up in, where our voices were meant to be smaller.”

“And now in raising them, we’re changing the conditions and the environment where everyone has space to be the best version of themselves,” she said.
