Here's how Railways plan to stop train accidents with the help of guards, station masters

This move follows the Kanchanjunga Express accident on June 17, which revealed deficiencies in the Automatic Block System's training. The guidelines aim to standardize training with periodic courses and intensive counseling to address safety gaps. The new protocol includes biannual orientation for station staff and two-day training for new automatic signaling sections. This initiative reflects the Board's commitment to improving railway safety and preventing future accidents.
