TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy to delete post, state not to take action, lawyers tell HC

TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy and the state of West Bengal have reached a settlement regarding a social media post in which Roy sought the custodial interrogation of the Kolkata police commissioner and the ex-principal of RG Kar Medical College in connection with an alleged rape and murder case. Roy's lawyer informed the Calcutta High Court that Roy has agreed to delete the post. The state's counsel assured the court that no action will be taken against Roy related to this issue. The court will pass an order on Wednesday after the deletion of the post and submission of a state report confirming no further action against Roy.
