CrowdStrike has hired DLA Piper to manage “policies and proposals related to congressional response to July 19, 2024 outage” that hit airlines and businesses around the world. Delta has threatened to sue CrowdStrike, saying the outage cost the airline $500 million, and the House Homeland Security Committee has requested CrowdStrike’s CEO testify before the committee.

Vanessa Le, a former special adviser and counsel to the director of national intelligence and counsel to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, will work on the account.

This is the third new firm the investment giant has hired this year amid a barrage of Republican attacks related to its ESG investing. JPMorgan Chase hired PhronesisDC to lobby on issues related to financial services and tax policy. One of the lobbyists on the account is Brendan Dunn, former policy adviser and counsel to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.).
