Report: Left-back picks up transfer-ending injury after links to Tottenham
L’Equipe have revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Bradley Locko will now remain at Brest after picking up a major injury which is expected to keep him out of action for a full year.
Tottenham were linked with Bradley Locko
Locko has emerged as one of the best young full-backs in Ligue 1 over the past couple of years and a number of sources had reported earlier in the summer that he was on Tottenham’s radar (Paul O’Keefe).
It has now emerged that the 22-year-old’s dream of moving to the Premier League has collapsed after he suffered a major injury.
According to L’Equipe, the Frenchman was very close to moving to Nottingham Forest after the English side neared an agreement with Brest over the player’s transfer.

However, just as the move was about to go through, Locko ruptured his Achilles tendon after a freak accident in training.
The left-back only returned to training on Tuesday after taking part in the Olympics with France, but disaster has struck for the youngster within days of his return as he now faces a significant spell on the sidelines.
In fact, the publication asserts that the injury is so serious that Locko could miss most if not all of the 2024-25 campaign.

Clubs would not be rushing to go back in for Locko next summer either as it is never easy to return to 100 per cent fitness after suffering an ACL injury.
Spurs and others will be watching the left-back closely when he returns to action to assess his fitness.
