ALEXANDER Isak has become a staple figure for Newcastle United.
The Swedish professional footballer has had a chance to flex his celebration, having scored over dozens of times for his team.
Who is Alexander Isak?
Alexander Isak is an English premier league footballer.
Born on September 21, 1999, Isak plays for Newcastle and the Swedish national team.
His Eritrean parents raised him in Solna, central Stockholm.
At the age of 16, he began playing for the Allsvenskan youth team of AIK, one of the largest clubs in the region.
Isak made his first-team debut for AIK in February 2016, appearing as a substitute in the 75th minute of the Swedish Cup away match against Tenhults IF.
He scored a goal in the astonishing 6–0 victory.
The rising star became the youngest scorer for AIK in Allsvenskan history at the age of 16 years and 199 days, after securing a victory for his side against Östersunds FK.
By May 2016, Isak signed his first professional contract through the end of the 2018 season.
At one point, he was described by teammate Chinedu Obasi as “Sweden‘s new Zlatan Ibrahimović”.
In 2017, he signed for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract, lasting until the summer of 2022.
Reports suggest that the transfer fee was set at €9million (£7.6million), which would be the highest transfer fee ever paid for an Allsvenskan player at that time.
The striker reportedly turned down a move to Real Madrid.
By this point, Isak was already playing for the Swedish national team.
In his second-ever match with Sweden, he became the youngest goalscorer ever in the history of the national team.
The player then signed a five-year deal with Real Sociedad, joining the La Liga club in July 2019.
He was finally signed to Newcastle United in August 2022 on a six-year contract which runs until June 2028.
Newcastle reportedly spent more than a whopping $70 million (£63million), which would be a club transfer record.
On April 14, 2024, Isak netted his 16th and 17th goals of the season in Newcastle’s 4–0 victory over Tottenham.
This matches Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s record for the most goals scored by a Swedish player in a Premier League season.

That said, the club record signing believes that the player with the best celebration at Newcastle is Bruno Guimaraes.
