Netflix has dropped the first teaser trailer for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, as well as the show’s premiere date!

The new installment of Ryan Murphy‘s “Monsters” series stars Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch as the real life brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez. Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny play their real life parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez.

According to Tudum, here’s the synopsis: “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story follows Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who fatally shot their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. During their trials, the brothers cited years of abuse as the reason for murdering their parents. However, prosecutors argued that their motive was to get their hands on the family fortune.” The events in “Monsters” happened are based on the true events that happened in real life.
