Rotterdam homebuilder charged with grand larceny
ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police reported the arrest of Paul Hodorowski, of Rotterdam, following a fraud investigation. Hodorowski, who reportedly owns the homebuilding business Hodorowski Homes LLC, was charged with first-degree grand larceny, a class B felony.
According to state police, Hodorowski is accused of utilizing a complex check-kiting scheme, a form of check fraud, between December 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024. The scheme resulted in a loss of $1,544,652.59 to the Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company of the Arrow Financial Corporation. Hodorowski was taken into custody on August 19.
Hodorowski was arraigned at the Schenectady County Court Centralized Arraignment and was ordered to be held on $20,000 cash or $100,000 bond. The case is being prosecuted by the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office.
