World famous chef becomes latest big name star to sign multi-million pound Netflix deal for doc about his life

GORDON Ramsay has signed a multimillion-pound deal with Netflix for a documentary on his life — and launch of a new restaurant.

The potty-mouthed Michelin-starred chef, 57, will be shadowed by a camera crew in a show provisionally titled Being Gordon.

It is said to lift the lid on “the family man, as well as the superstar chef” as he prepares to open for business in Bishopsgate, East London.

A source said: “Gordon isn’t exactly a shy and retiring type so this will be a no-holds-barred, warts ’n’ all series.

“You can expect more than the odd swear word, but essentially cameras will trail him in and out of the kitchen ahead of his latest restaurant launch early next year.

“His wife, Tana, and the kids are expected to make cameos.

“People will get to see a whole new side to Gordon.”

The source added: “In the wake of the success of huge chef-based shows like Disney’s The Bear and the BBC’s Boiling Point, Netflix realise there’s a real appetite for high stakes, high drama kitchen content right now.”

Netflix will hope the show mirrors the success of its series on David Beckham, Robbie Williams and Tyson Fury.

Sources say it will give Ramsay — a big name in the US and Australia — exposure to the Asian market.

It is likely the dad of six spoke to pal Becks before agreeing terms.

Netflix is set to confirm the show’s release this month.
