Report: Club sign replacement in anticipation of star leaving amid Spurs links

According to Foot Mercato, Monaco have already signed a replacement for rumoured Tottenham target Vanderson, who is expected to depart before the transfer deadline.

Tottenham are being linked with Vanderson

Journalist Bruno Andrade broke the news at the start of last week that Spurs are plotting a move for Vanderson, who they had allegedly identified as a replacement for Emerson Royal.

In fact, the journalist claimed that Monaco were imminently expecting an offer to arrive from the Lilywhites for the Brazilian.

The same information was also backed up a few days ago by GiveMeSport, who explained that Ange Postecoglou does not believe Djed Spence is ready to play for Spurs.

As a result, it was said that the North London club want to bring Vanderson through the door to serve as an understudy to Pedro Porro.

Other reliable sources such as Football.London’s Alasdair Gold have dismissed the rumour, insisting that Tottenham hold no interest in the 23-year-old.

Vanderson expected to leave Monaco

Foot Mercato now say that the expectation at Monaco is for Vanderson to leave the club before the end of the month.

That is why the Ligue 1 side have allegedly tied up a €12m deal for Jordan Teze, who is set to arrive from PSV Eindhoven.

The publication alleges that once the Dutchman arrives through the door, Moncao would be free to cash in on Vanderson.
