HighBall Halloween offering free admission for first time
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - Known as the "nation's most elaborate costume party," HighBall Halloween is returning to Columbus this fall and is offering free general admission for the first time ever.
The annual event is set for Oct. 26 from 2 p.m. to midnight in the Short North Arts District, at the intersection of High Street and Goodale Boulevard. According to The Short North Alliance, this year's event will be free for all locals and visitors who want to celebrate the "art of costume and vibrancy of Columbus." Local drag performer Nina West is also making her return as the event's host.
As general admission will be free, HighBall will also offer ticketed VIP admission, private cabana style tents known as "Spooky Suites" along with food and beverages that patrons can purchase. Anyone under the age of 18 must be with an adult for the event.
The Halloween event will also introducing HighBall Bazaar, featuring more than 100 fashion vendors. Patrons can also expect to see the annual Costume Couture Fashion Show, public costume contests, kid's costume showcase, performances, art installations and more.
