Taylor Swift Can Make a Video With a Broken Heart Too
Yes, she’s still so productive. In London for the final night of the Eras Tour’s European leg on August 20, Taylor Swift debuted the music video for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” And, fitting for a song about pulling yourself together to perform onstage night after night, the video is full of backstage footage from the Eras Tour. There’s everything from sweet moments with the team before the show to Swift scooting along underneath the stage. (She really does look like she’s having the time of her life!) And she didn’t just star in said video with her broken heart — she directed it too. It’s just her second visual from The Tortured Poets Department, after lead single “Fortnight,” which just earned her a boatload of VMA nods.
Swift saved the surprise for the very end of the night, capping off a show that included surprise appearances by Florence Welch (to debut “Florida!!!”) and Jack Antonoff (to mash up “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “Getaway Car”). What didn’t happen? A Reputation (Taylor’s Version) announcement. But hey, you Rep fans can still watch a music video with a broken heart, too.
