Leeds United could benefit handsomely from new TV deal set to be worth £37m

Whether supporters like it or not, commercial revenue is a major factor in the running of a football club these days, and that’s as true for Leeds United as any other team.

The all whites have had to tighten their belts accordingly of late, given their inability to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

That’s meant that Daniel Farke has also had to bid goodbye to some of his best players, including Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter.

Undoubtedly, their transfer fees will help to prop up the club as owners, 49ers Enterprises, look to navigate through the next few months.

One area where the Elland Road outfit may well benefit is through TV revenue.

As Sportcal note, beIN Sports has extended its exclusive broadcast deal of the EFL, with TBR Football suggesting that the clubs in the English second tier will have a share of a £37m pot in 2024/25.

Given that Leeds will almost certainly be one of the most televised clubs in the division, they could benefit handsomely, and the extra finance will give them a further boost just when they need it.
