Telecom regulator asks public not to fall prey to fraudulent calls claiming to be from TRAI

TRAI alerted citizens about fraudulent calls threatening mobile disconnection, claiming to be from them. It clarified it does not contact users about disconnections and advised cross-verifying with telecom providers. Suspected scams should be reported via the Chakshu facility on the Sanchar Saathi platform to prevent misuse and fraud.
